Camille Claudel
Although Camille Claudel (1864-1943) destroyed many of her own artworks, enough still survives to show what an extraordinary sculptor and graphic artist she was. We present images of Claudel herself as well as some of our favourite bronzes which reveal the vigour and beauty of her artistic output.
Other artists who died in 1943 and whose work is now out of artistic copyright include Maurice Denis, Sophie Taeuber-Arp and Chaïm Soutine.
