January 2020 - 75 years since the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau
On 27 January 1945 the concentration camp at Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest Nazi extermination camp, was liberated by the Red Army.
In 2005, 27 January was declared an international day for remembering the victims of the Holocaust by the United Nations.
