Rudolf Dodenhoff (1917-1992) was a photographer in Worpswede and the son of the painter Heinz Dodenhoff (1889-1981), who belonged to the second generation of the Worpswede artists' colony.
After graduation he passed a photographic apprenticeship in Munich and opened after the war a photographic studio in Worpswede. He also worked as an advertising photographer for big companies like Telefunken, Continental or Hapag Lloyd. So in addition to his conventional photographic works many promotional shots were taken.
Rudolf Dodenhoff who has fiddled and tried in photography a lot, also owned the first color photographic lab in Northern Germany.
