Philippe Maillard
Raised in the film world, Philippe Maillard moved to Algeria with his parents when he was one year old. Half of his life will take place in the eastern countries, reinforcing his passion for capturing an image of the greatness of the world, nature, botany, insects. After returning to Paris in 1969, he graduated from the French Institute of Photography and began his career by photographing contemporary art, Moroccan carpets, life and people in Syria and Samarkand. Based in Morvan since 1990, Philippe studies more specifically Burgundy region, its landscapes, its religious heritage and its archaeological treasures.
