The beauty of candlelight in art and photography
Just simply lighting a candle creates a serene and calming effect, evoking atmospheres ranging from mysterious or romantic to what the Danish call ‘hygge’ or roughly translated as ‘cosiness’.

Candles are, of course, an integral part of religious and spiritual ceremonies yet also used in celebration; whether on a birthday cake or as part of an intimate dinner.
