Avarice
Some people claim that money makes the world go round, yet the excessive pursuit of material wealth has the potential to cause great damage. As German philosopher Erich Fromm wrote: “Greed is a bottomless pit which exhausts the person in an endless effort to satisfy the need without ever reaching satisfaction”.
