akg-images | NEWSLETTER
MAY 2013

We're saying Happy Birthday to Erich Lessing on this month's newsletter
as we prepare for the maestro's 90th birthday in July. Picture researcher Julia Rotte writes on the akg blog about her time working for Mr Lessing in Vienna, and we have selections of his fine art and reportage photography, as well as the stunning work he has done photographing the wonders of the Ancient World.

If you are looking for images of India, come to akg! We present another mini-special on the sub-continent including a selection of stunning Indian miniatures from the British Library and work by the acclaimed travel photographer Gérard Degeorge. Our already fantastically varied collection of pictures relating to India has also been strengthened further by the return of Jean-Louis Nou and the photo archive of Gandhi biographer Peter Rühe. Find out more below.

Last but not least, fans of vintage photography have two treats this month: a selection of images inspired by one of this summer's blockbuster movies and some beautiful black-and-white shots of children. All of these images and more are searchable on our
website or you can contact us for a personalised search!

With our very best wishes,

The team at akg-images in London
