The beginnings of the ullstein bild picture library can be traced to 1877, when Leopold Ullstein founded a newspaper publishing company in Berlin. In 1900, he formed an archive was formed as a collection of newspapers, magazines, articles and pictures. In 1929 the photo archive was separated from the rest of the collection and the ullstein bild picture archive was born. Today, ullstein bild is a leading picture agency, a storehouse of images documenting contemporary history. akg-images is pleased to represent ullstein bild in a number of territories. |
