After first training to be an architect, Gérard Degeorge has spent more than twenty-five years devoting himself to photography, concentrating especially on the art and architecture of the Islamic world. Alongside his a professorship at the École d'architecture Paris-la-Seine, where he teaches Islamic architecture and Arab history, Degeorge has photographed for numerous art magazines and a series of coffee table books, including works on Petra, Samarkhand and the art of the Islamic tile. akg-images is pleased to represent Gérard Degeorge in all territories.
