"Be a child": David's personal pick of childhood favourites from the akg archive

After four fantastic years at the University of Cambridge, David trained as a graphic designer before deciding to put his MA in History of Art to more practical use. He joined akg-images in 2002 and became Managing Director in 2008. His personal fields of interest are religious art and artefacts and 20th-century architecture.

David says, "With an eclectic range of images being added to the collection every day, there are always new and exciting discoveries to be made."

"A question of balance": Angelika juggles some favourite images from the collection

Angelika completed her degree in European Studies at the University of Royal Holloway in 2006 and went on to work for Lebrecht Photo Library before joining the akg team in June 2008. She has always had an interest in art history, especially 20th century painting, and therefore saw akg-images as the perfect opportunity to work with exciting and captivating picture material.

"In the beginning...": Bookworm Anna shares her love of reading

Anna completed a first degree in Fine Art at Solent University where she enjoyed working and exhibiting as a practising artist using the medium of film. She went on to work in the educational department of the Southampton City Art Gallery, before joining akg-images. Here, she has a chance to engage with her artistic interest in aspects of archiving and collecting as well as deepening her knowledge of art history.

Stella completed her degree in History of Art at St Andrew's University in 1999. After returning back south she went on to work at Christie's Images picture library as a picture researcher. Since then she has worked with in the picture licensing industry both as a buyer and seller of images. She brings lot of experience and knowledge of the business to the role, as well as enthusiasm for the archive's many beautiful images.
